Blade Guard® 6-inch Locking Knife Blade Protector - Made in USA

Protect Every Knife Blade in Your Kit.

Blade Guard™ 6-Inch Locking Knife Blade Protector

The 6" Blade Guard™ is the mid-range workhorse of the camp kitchen and the boat galley — the size that covers the utility knives, boning knives, and fillet knives you reach for most often. Unlike open-top guards that rely on friction and can let a blade slide out when jostled in a backpack, tackle bag, or cooler, the Blade Guard™ fully encloses the blade with secure locking tabs that stay closed until you deliberately open them.

Made in the USA from BPA-free, food-safe polypropylene. Dishwasher safe. Frosted so you can see the blade inside without opening the guard.

“At first I thought it was bulky to carry. As soon as I closed it over the knife and heard it snap closed — I was hooked.”
— Capt. Colin McCarthy, Living on Island Time Fish Charter
Uses Blade Guard on his Dexter fillet knife — now throws it in his bag and travels safely.

⚠️ Why locking matters: Open-top guards rely on friction to stay on. In a tackle bag, cooler, or RV drawer, that friction can fail when the knife shifts or gets jostled. The Blade Guard™ locking tabs — backed by two rubber stops — keep the blade fully enclosed under pressure, vibration, and movement — the way a guard should work on the water and off.
