CordSafe is weather-resistant and designed to help protect temporary extension cord connections from rain, snow, dirt, and moisture. It is not intended for direct burial or submersion.

Does CordSafe fit heavy-duty extension cords?

Yes. Included inserts fit 18, 16, and 14 AWG cords. Remove the inserts for many 12 AWG extension cords.

Will it help stop GFCI outlets from tripping?

CordSafe includes a plug connection insulator that helps reduce nuisance GFCI trips caused by moisture collecting around plug connections. It cannot prevent all GFCI trips, particularly those caused by wiring faults or damaged equipment.

Can it stay outdoors year-round?

CordSafe is built for long-term outdoor use. We recommend periodic inspection and replacing damaged extension cords as part of normal electrical safety practices.
